The Village, a first of its kind in Aotearoa, provides for Pasifika-focused needs including an early learning centre, wellbeing services and a fale (meeting house) as well as GP and integrated services.

It is a collective achievement of central and local government, Tangata Whenua, and the philanthropic, business, and broader communities. It is a living example of what is possible when we all work together to achieve a shared vision for the betterment of all.

K’aute Pasifika seeks to become the beating heart of a regional movement that continues to drive equitable outcomes for our people.

Pasifika Housing Waikato Trust[edit | edit source]

K'aute have also established a new Pasifika Housing Waikato Trust focussed on helping to deliver more affordable Pasifika homes within the region. The outcomes of the Pasifika Housing Waikato Strategy are ultimately aimed at helping to create intergenerational prosperity for Pasifika families within the Waikato.

The Waikato Pasifika Housing Strategy will take an integrated and co-ordinated approach to Pasifika housing in the Waikato. This will involve partnering with those that are better able to support the process, from project feasibility and financing, all the way through to project delivery and ongoing wraparound support services.

The aim is to ensure that Pasifika families are well-housed, living in sustainable, flourishing, and connected communities. This will be achieved through establishing partnerships, building capability, developing a Pasifika housing pipeline, setting-up a vehicle for receiving funds and directing investment, and undertaking ongoing research to monitor housing outcomes and support strategy.
